How can we preserve our bearings? Between nursing homes, hospital stays, and moving into assisted living facilities, elderly people undergoing treatment sometimes suffer from unrecognized discomfort. Together with my research co-author, Owen Cartau, we took an interest in these patients in order to come up with more sustainable solutions for them. Using the care method, we sought to highlight the disruptions caused by the transition from a daily living space to a medical environment, which is a consequence of the loss of independence. “Adaptation and hospitalization at home,” thesis written as part of the Master 2 Design and Sustainable Innovation degree at Besign School, 2021.
